The sounds of swinging standards and tongue-in-cheek twists on holiday season favorites will fill the air during two upcoming concerts presented by the Long Island Gay Men’s Chorus (LIGMC).
The Long Island Gay Men's Chorus is a voluntary, not-for-profit, community-based organization that provides diverse audiences with high-quality choral performances and musical experiences. LIGMC uses music to unite the LGBTQ community, fight prejudice and discrimination, and affirm the contributions of the LGBTQ community to the region's cultural life.
Celebrate the season with the Long Island Gay Men’s Chorus at “Make The Yuletide Gay!”, their annual holiday concerts featuring swinging seasonal favorites and satirical parodies that will have you hanging on every word and laughing all the way. Performances are 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13 at the Cathedral of the Incarnation, 50 Cathedral Ave., Garden City and Saturday, Dec. 14 at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at Stony Brook, 380 Nicolls Road/CR 97, E. Setauket.
Tickets are $25 and are available at the door or ligmc.org.
