The Cinema Arts Centre is excited to welcome three fantastic stand-up comics to its comedy series this winter. With recent sold out shows featuring hit comedians like Phoebe Robinson, Todd Barry, Josh Gondelman, and Matthew Broussard; Cinema Arts Centre’s Stand-up Comedy in the Café series has developed a dedicated following of stand-up comedy aficionados here on Long Island. Comics perform on the last Friday of every month and each artist brings a surprise opener. This winter, Stand-up Comedy in the Cafe will feature comics Myq Kaplan, Kate Willett, and Mary Beth Barone.
Mary Beth Barone - Friday, February 28 at 9:30 PM
Mary Beth Barone is a Manhattan-based comedian, writer, and actor. She was named one of Comedy Central’s Up Next and performed at their Clusterfest showcase in 2019. Her stand-up has been described as dark post-modernism and ingeniously self-aware by TimeOut NY. Mary Beth can be seen hosting her monthly stand-up show at Peppi’s Cellar with Benito Skinner or at Public hotel in New York City, where she has a stand-up residency.
