Join us for our online STEM classes. Learn about plants, genes, weather, and the moon. Students will experiment to visualize the concepts introduced during class. A kit is mailed to you with all necessary materials for experimentation or a project.

$50 per student, per month 50% off for members. Includes a mailed materials kit and 4 live, instructor-led online classes.

Space is limited and reservations are required in advance. Please leave enough time for your materials to be mailed to you.

Week 1 - Rainforest Ecosystems: Take a journey through a tropical rainforest to discover this unique ecosystem and its effect on the world. Students will learn about forest layers, animals, plants, and products using a variety of unusual and rare materials. A slide show of photos of the Amazon and Australian rainforests emphasizes the importance of this resource.

Week 2 - Magical Molecules: Experience the magic of combining molecules to create new substances. Participants make glue using household materials. When they add additional substances, something totally different is created!

Week 3 - Your Senses: Students will touch, taste, listen, see, and smell their way to discovering how all 5 senses are used to interpret the world around them. They learn how the senses are part of an interrelated system.

Week 4 - Science of Sound: Discover what sound is and how vibrations travel through the air to create it. Learn about the parts of the ear that help you hear and make a musical instrument that uses vibration.

This is a live, instructor-led, online interactive class with a mailed materials kit.
